The `macAddress` attribute on an Expected Machine interface is deprecated in favor of `identifier.macAddress`. Create and update requests accept it in place of `identifier`, or alongside `identifier.macAddress` when both identify the same MAC address. It may also accompany `identifier.astra` to preserve a MAC address alongside the Astra names. Responses continue to return `macAddress` for interfaces that have a MAC address, so returned interfaces can be submitted unchanged. Prefer `identifier.macAddress` for MAC-only declarations and `identifier.astra` for Astra declarations.
